Sports are close to the League Title with only 4 points needed to secure the top spot.... so when I got informed that my captain is out for a few weeks with a pulled hamstring..... I wont lie I thought to myself, is this the curse of a league title run in......

All night I was thinking of how we were going to line up and who was going to play were.... the famous old saying of..... the best form of defence is attack.... so i went with a 2-4-2 formation...

Jack and Dennis have played well in past weeks when asked to play 2 at the back, a midfield of Callahan, Adam, Robert and Diego with Andrew and Nojus up front was the way to attack an in form Claygate side.

The game started with both teams pressing for the upper hand... both goal keepers was tested early on but both came out on top keeping the score 0-0.
Bedfont broke the dead lock with some fine play from Diego who picked up the ball from a Claygate goal kick who played Andrew in to have a touch and volley the ball over the goal keeper 1-0 sports
Sports second came quick after the re start with some good pressure from the whole team allowing some great play on the right from Diego playing in Nojus to cut back for an Andrew to tap into an open net 2-0.

Clay gate never gave up and kept pressing for there first goal ... Unfortunately for us but lucky for them they got won back from a corner that we failed to clear with and conviction allowing the Claygate forward to side the ball home, 2-1.

Sports wasn't rocked but this gave Claygate the boost they needed and with a mix up and some "Lady luck" with a shot that came off the post for the forward to tap into an open net 2-2 at half time.

This was probably one of the most important half time talks that I have had to give all season, all I asked the players to do is win there personal battles and come of this pitch with no regrets and to show everyone how far they have come as a team and that they can beat good teams as well as the lower teams and defenders to start defending with some determination and conviction..... and boy they didn't disappoint...

Andrew started were he left off from the first half scoring another 3 goals taking his goal tally for todays game to 5 goals.... Andrew and Nojus has seemed to had created a good striking partnership up and may it continue...sports were know leading 5-3 with Claygate pulling another goal back from another corner...

Adam and Robert had bossed the midfield all game winning some great tackles and playing some fantastic football between them both. Diego had a great defensive match were he was almost defending for 40 mins but then he burst into life with some great trickery and quick feet allowing him to gain some space in the box and to smash the ball home and give Bedfont some breathing space... 6-3. Sports was now on top and dominating all over the field, Zain and Georgie came on with both having a immediate impact and Georgie even came close to scoring but a fine stop from the Claygate goalkeeper keeping him out.
Sports had one more goal left in them and when Nojus was fouled .......up stepped Callahan to seal off the win with another of his special free kicks 7 - 3 final score and dare i say it but nearly the League title sealed up....
