Bedfont welcomed a new team to the league, Virginia Water Maroons to there first Division 2 game of the season.

Bedfont was with out Andrew and Robert for this weeks fixture so in stepped Dennis in defence which moved Callahan into the midfield with Adam which in turn pushed Zain out wide on the right wing.
Bedfont was disappointed about last weeks result so the boys were focused on starting well and boy we did. It wasn't long after KO that we created a good chance resulting in us having our first corner of the game. Up stepped Nojus to whip in a wicked corner for the ball to go straight in 1- 0 Bedfont.

The boys were on the front foot and was pressing all over the pitch, the midfield was working tirelessly to stop the Virginia Water players from playing, Zain and Diego on the wings were awesome with the way they tracked there players as well as played forward unselfishly passing the ball at the first opportunity, something we have been working on in training.

Lavente in goal kept out a couple of Virginia attacks and some great tracking back from Adam stopped the opposition from equalizing. The Bedfont defence was strong this week in there positional play as well as there distribution with the ball, Joel ,Jack and Dennis all played very well today.
It wasn't long until Callahan picked up the ball on the edge of the box, on his left foot....... there was only ever going to be one out come, top corner 2-0 Bedfont.

Bedfont was on top and dominating the game, so it wasn't long before we had our next attack resulting in Nojus getting his second and Bedfonts 3rd 3-0 Bedfont.

Half time came with the boys and myself happy with the performance but we still wanted more..... the boys were told to carry on and step up the tempo even more.

The second Half like the first was all Bedfont, some lovely football was played resulting in the wingers playing some good through balls for Nojus the grab another 2 goals in the second half and another Callahan free kick coming of the Virginia defenders head for an own goal and Bedfonts 6th goal of the game.

Virginia was awarded a penalty in the game as the ref deemed Joel to hand ball the ball in the box..... Lavante guessed right but the shot was to hard resulting in the penalty being scored.

The boys deserved the result through the good football they played.
