New Year……New Start

After not playing any football for several weeks the rest obviously did Bedfont Eagles U15’s the power of good.

Away to top of the league Ashford, Bedfont showed what a team they are. Like most of our matches Bedfont started strong and played some lovely passing football. It was just unfortunate that from an Ashford corner came the home side’s first goal.

It was then 4 minutes later that a run of unlucky misses came Bedfont’s way. An unlucky free kick miss from Jake Brewer, a brush past the goal from Jae-Ru Kelly and an awesome attempt by Elliott Shead.

The half time score 1-0 to Ashford.

The second half started and the game was going at a fast pace, it was again unfortunate that another unlucky miss by Lewis Flatman went pass the Ashford keeper.
Then Bedfont were awarded a penalty and Lewis Flatman made it 1-1.

Ashford made some good running and really didn’t want to lose. Then it was time for Tinny to take a miss at goal, but this was reprieved by Jae-Ru Kelly who scored a blinder of a goal. Taking the score to a well deserved 2-1 lead.

Then Ashford went on the run and was awarded a corner, from which came the equalizer. Taking the final score to a 2 all draw.

Bedfont had so many missed chances, but made the parents and management so very proud of them today.

Well done boys, great effort, great attitude and a great result.

Man of the match today went to Jake ‘Wonder Kick’ Brewer and Elliott Shead for yet another consistent performance.
