Battling Bookham make Eagles work

Bookham came into the game knowing eagles had blown all who visited the Rec. However Trudy and her Bookham Battlers had other ideas. Ben cooper was called into early action to make an important stop at 0-0 and bookham proved determind to ruin Bedfonts home record. Tyler Meadland smashed his shot against the bar and it looked as if it would not be eagles day. midway through the 1st half Ryan Fruin made it 1-0 when Frankie Finn cross was headed home by the skipper. Tyler Meadland made it 2-0 on the stroke of half time when Damien Cuthews run found him at the back post to put eagles 2-0 against the run of play. The message at half time was get the ball down and pass like we did last week, however bookham come out all guns blazing and Ben cooper was called into action again. Eagles 3rd goal came when Ryan Fruin freed Tyler Meadland, he made no mistake smashing hime No3. Damien cuthew cross they sneaked in at the back post to make it 4-0 and Tyler Meadland got his hat trick with another powerblaster to make it 5-0, which was a little unfair on Bookham. With a minute left eagles conceeded a free kick, Bookhams Man of the match smash the ball goal bound and stand in keeper Mason Roseboom could only get a had to it to make it 5-1 and bookham got there goal that all there hard work deserved.

Bookham will climb the table if they play like that and Eagles will need to make sure they learn to be patient when its not going there way if they are going to win this league. Next up is a long trip to Perrywood away, Man of the match was sam Watson for his no nosense display at right back and for finally remembering the item of the week !!!!
