New signing Lewis Flatman slotted into the U14’s this week to form the missing link in the team. Bedfont have been playing some quality football over the last few games but just couldn’t get the results they deserved.

The game started well and an unfortunate kick at the post nearly took Links into the lead in the first few seconds of the game.

With the sun shining Bedfont showed a lot of promise from the start and within 14 minutes went 1 nil up from a wonder strike from Matt Luiting.

This was going to be a good game to watch as both teams were playing extremely well. Then 10 minutes after the first goal Mason Chisholm whose football skills are second to none netted the ball, taking Bedfont into a 2 nil lead.

Into the second half and the boys spirits were high, with some near misses from both teams. Then George ‘Boris’ Morris scored a blinder of a goal raising the game to a new level.

Links did however manage to score in the last dyeing seconds of the game. It has been a long time coming but Bedfont deserved the result today. Final score 3 -1 to Bedfont.

Parent’s man of match went to goal keeper George Woodbridge for another great effort and some great saves.

A great effort by all the team today, well done boys.
