With Reagan Bamford out with a dislocated knee, and Chris Saunders ill Bedfont had a battle on their hands from the beginning.
The game however stated well and Bedfont gave their all, but 8 minutes into the first half Oxshott scored their first goal. Bedfont didn’t seem to have the momentum that they had last week and found it hard to get to grips with the game.
Oxshott defended well, with at least 7 players in the box every time Bedfont got near the goal. Then 20 minutes into the first half came Oxshotts second goal, leaving the Bedfont players deflated.
The second half was pretty much the same as the first and Bedfont did have 7 missed chances at scoring. All attempts going either over the bar or just wide of the goal. Bedfont also missed a chance when awarded a free kick and it going just wide of the Oxshott goal.
Then came the blow……another two goals from Oxshott within 5 minutes of the second half. The final score ended at 4-0 to Oxshott.
The referee could have been a little fairer on Bedfont and did give Oxshott a little leeway on some of his decisions, but that’s football.
Man of the match went to George Woodbridge for a better second half and pulling off some excellent saves.
