With the return of former Eagles player Jake Brewer the back four become a solid quartet to deal with. Bedfont were wide awake for this match and missed several good chances against the Mosley keeper.
Eagles dominated the match and really didn’t deserve to go a goal down in the first half. Then with their eyes taken off the ball Mosley scored again. Normally our heads would have gone down but on this occasion Bedfont were not going to give up and Joe Willoughby scored a cracking goal taking the half time score to 2-1 to Mosley.
The second half was pretty much the same as the first with some valuable missed chances by Bedfont. Mosley held their own and gave Bedfont a run for their money, then with a wonder shot and goal from Reagan Bamford Bedfont was back in with a chance.
Mosley however had other ideas and wham, bam thank-you mam another 2 goals were put passed the Bedfont keeper. Mosley was now in a favourable position to take the 3 points.
But wait a minute…….with a skilful 25 yard kick from Samual Williams Bedfont where back on track with a tasteful little goal. It was now all or nothing and with only seconds of full time left Bedfont won a corner and up stepped Billy Hone. Bill’s skilful kick found the head of Jeevan Siera who slotted the ball into the Mosley net. The whistle then blow and the boys got the result they truly deserved.
Final score 4 – 4
Big well done boys, it was a pleasure to watch you play.
