Eagles fall out of the league cup.

Bedfont Eagles U14 played host to Premier Division Barnes Eagles in the first round of the league cup. It was a very wet day to say the least and although Bedfont went on to loose we must admire these boys for never giving up.
Bedfont started well with a blinder of a goal from Jeevan Siera within the first 6 minutes of the first half. It was then followed shortly afterwards with a wicked shot past the Barnes keeper by George ‘Boris’ Morris.
With rain pouring and the spectator’s slowly running for shelter both teams battled against the elements. All the boys shirts where stuck to them and to be honest it was anyone’s game.
Bedfont seemed to lose the pace that they started with and let Barnes take the half time score to 2 -1.
The second half saw no improvement in the weather and the boys gave as much as they could. With only 11 boys starting in the Bedfont line-up there was no chance of being subbed so it was a battle to the end.
Both teams played some good football however it was Barnes Eagles who were to go on and score another 3 goals in the second half. The final score 2-4 to Barnes Eagles.
This Bedfont team once again should be proud of themselves, no game is easy and they battle to the final whistle every match.
Man of the match went to Jeevan Seira.

Due to poor visibility and our teams photographer shoes being filled with water this week’s pictures are not up to the normal standard that the U14’s are used to.
