Worcester Park had recently been promoted from division one and today’s game showed why! This was a great match to watch with both teams playing a high standard of football.
Bedfont had several chances in the first half but just couldn’t find the back of the net so taking the half time score to 0 – 0.
Bedfont started strong in the second half and it was a well executed pass from Samuel William’s to George ’Boris’ Morris that found the back of the net 5 minutes into the second half.
Worcester battled on, but Bedfont defended extremely well with Worcester missing a couple of shots at goal, and the Bedfont keeper making an excellent save.
The final score was Worcester 0 – Bedfont 1
Both teams showed great sportsmanship and are a credit to their clubs.
