Easter Monday and Sports were back in action as they host Virginia Water FC at The Rec. Sports were currently on a 3 game winning streak and 12 game unbeaten run.
Sports started really well and were unlucky not to be 3-0 up after 10 minutes, as Sports continued to have bright spells but ultimately failing to convert our chances the half finished goalless. The second half was simply a case of the Sports lowering their level to play a huge game of end to end with Virginia Water continuing to pump the ball down the back fours throat only to have it returned and again Sports just could not find the back of the net. The game finishes 0-0 as both team fail to find the goal, Sports will be feeling the more frustrated side as they had the better chances and ultimately fell into a standard they usually perform miles above.
This result keeps Sports consolidating 3rd position in the Combined Counties Premier Division North, it also extends The Sports unbeaten run to 13 having to date back to the 9th of January 2024 to see our last defeat at the hands of Wembley FC. Next up Sports have their chance at revenge as we face... Wembley FC at home Saturday 6th April 3PM Kick Off.
The Sports wish Virginia Water FC all the best for the remainder of the season.
