As we move into June we have now had another update from the FA with regards to football, in essence teams can train in groups of 5 (6 with the coach), however social distancing measures will need to be adhered to throughout the session and children will not be able to train/socialize outside the parameters set out with regards to social distancing and hygiene. The club's committee will be reviewing all of this over the next few days and also taking on board feedback from managers, coaches and parent reps.

For me personally our players next football experience needs to be a positive one, and if we all think that this is not going to be the case under the current guidelines then we will take this as a key part of our considerations. I have been told today that the FA will follow up their recent guidance with more detailed guidelines prior to the weekend, so with this in mind any decisions will wait for this guidance.

As a club we have already made plans, if we did decided to come back in the next few weeks on what sessions would look like and more importantly how we would do this in a safe environment for all of our players, parents and carers. We are now also looking at risk assessments, player/parent/carer guidance and best practises.

Things are getting closer to a return every day but its important to remember we are still very much in unchartered waters so we need to make sure we make the right decisions at the right time. The single most important thing for everyone at Bedfont Eagles is that children can play in a fun, safe environment where they can learn, have fun and smile while they are with us.
