Bedfont Eagles FC is proud to announce the launch of our new Inclusive Football programme, providing a dedicated, completely free pan-disability football session for children across Bedfont, Feltham and the wider Middlesex community.
Starting on Tuesday 3 November 2026, sessions will take place every Tuesday from 4:30pm–5:30pm at Bedfont Sports Club.
Initially for children aged 6–12, this programme has been created specifically for children with disabilities and/or additional needs, providing a football environment designed around their individual needs.
There is no cost, no trial and no previous football experience is required.
What is pan-disability football?
Pan-disability football provides opportunities for players with a range of disabilities and additional needs to participate together within an inclusive and supportive football environment.
Rather than separating children by individual disability, our sessions will focus on adapting activities and providing support so that children with different needs can enjoy football together.
The programme is specifically for children with disabilities and/or additional needs. It is not a general soccer school or open football session for all children.
Most importantly, children don't need to already consider themselves a "footballer" to attend.
Some may already love football. Others may never have been part of a football session before.
Both are equally welcome.
Why are Bedfont Eagles doing this?
For us, grassroots football should be about much more than results on a Saturday or Sunday.
Bedfont Eagles is part of the local community, and as we continue our journey to become a better football club, we also want to become a club that provides opportunities to more members of that community.
We recognise that traditional grassroots football environments will not necessarily suit every child.
For some families, finding an appropriate football environment for a child with a disability or additional needs can be difficult.
We want to help change that locally.
Our new pan-disability provision is one step towards making Bedfont Eagles a more inclusive football club and ensuring more children have the opportunity to experience everything that grassroots football can offer.
Friendships. Confidence. Exercise. Belonging. Enjoyment. And simply being part of a team.
We won't get everything perfect immediately. We want to listen to children, parents and carers, learn from those who attend and allow the programme to develop around the needs of our community.
This is the start of that journey.
A session built around the children
There isn't one approach that will work for every child.
Our coaches will therefore aim to create sessions that are fun, flexible, supportive and adaptable.
Children will be encouraged to participate at a level they are comfortable with. Activities can be adapted and additional support provided where appropriate.
There is no pressure to keep up with anybody else.
The aim is simple: come along, enjoy football and feel like you belong.
Important information for parents & carers
A parent or responsible carer must remain at Bedfont Sports Club for the entire session.
Depending on the individual needs of their child, a parent or carer may also be asked to come inside the playing area to provide additional support, reassurance or assistance.
We want to work alongside parents and carers to understand what helps each child feel safe, comfortable and able to enjoy the session.
If you're unsure whether the session would be suitable for your child, please get in touch with us before attending. We're more than happy to have a conversation about their individual needs.
