Jack Mills 1st goal for the club secures a hard earned 1-0 win
Sports Gaffa Paul Johnson must be pulling his hair out as his growing injury list continues in the promotion push run in. Johnson was able to recall Jacob Lamb after his recent suspension but lost skipper Jamie Richards and Matt Baxter in return, Richards & Baxter joined Luke Ruddick, Darryl Sanders, Kyle Lemon, Scott Harris and Julius Mngadi all on the treatment table, our Physio Dev will play a massive part in if sports will earn that 2nd promotion slot this season.
Sports started brightly with new signing Jack Mills hitting the crossbar after an excellent fingertip save from the north Greenford keeper. the 1st half went off without much to talk about until Sports were given a Pen on 43 Mins, Jack Mills stepped up and made it 1-0 sports.
The 2nd half had a bit of a pre season feel to it, neither side really created many chances until with 5 mins to go North Greenford should have made it 1-1 after there forward missed a free header from 6 yards out. There was just enough time for Jack Mills to see red in the 96 min (no idea where all the added time came from. Sports got over the line but will have 10 more cup finals to win if they want to secure promotion with both SCR and Walton winning tough games, its going to be a very tight run in.
