It started so well with sports looking in menacing form and should have been out of sight before half time. Our 1st gaol came from a delightful ball from Paul Johnson, who found Scott 'the hitman' Harris who made no mistake to put sports 1-0 up on 15 mins. It was soon 2-0 when Juls beat his man on the edge of the box and rifled home on 21 mins.
Sports then missed chance after chance to kill the game off and half time came ago at 2-0.
The 2nd half started brightly with Harris again on the scoresheet on 51 minutes after excellent work for Julius Mngadi to make it 3-0 sports. We then had a bit of a wobble where Chertsey took the game to sports and pulled 2 back in quick succession. They were unlucky not to draw level after several last minute tackles and blocks kept them at bay. Matt Riggs came off the bench to restore sports lead with a tidy volley on 75 minutes to make it 4-2 sports and help us close the game out.
