Manager Harrison Williams had to shuffle the pack for this boxing day derby with Johnathon Stoop, Caleb Wright both unavailable, and new signing Dom Perez from walton & hersham ill left sports with a very much make shift midfield. Harrison gave debuts to Antonio Dembele (hartney Witney) Kofi Anoyke-Boadi (Chipstead) and Aiden Brown (South Park).

Sports started brightly but failed to make there early pressure count, the game turned on its head in the 36 minute when Keeper Mo Otuyu was caught in the head after a collision with Dan Brown of Ashford, the keeper did make it to his feet but never seemed right for the rest of the game. On the stoke of half time Dan Brown found himself unmarked at the back post to slide the ball home 0-1 to the visitors. The 2nd half once again saw Sports start brighter but again Ashford doubled there lead on 58 minutes from long range as dan brown scored his 2nd of the game. This saw Lucas thrown into the action for Dembele and he had an instant impact, beating his man only to be dragged down on 66 minutes. Sam Evans stepped up and made it 1-2 and gave sports hope. Sports then made it 2-2 through lucas from a great header from a corner only to see it ruled out. Jake Beck then was thrown on as a 3rd forward and his cross in the 87 minute was met by Sam Evans again to make it 2-2 and earn Sports a big point at home
