The freezing weather never stopped an entertaining afternoon as 2 sides down the bottom met in the league. Sports started brightly when Steve Ngunga free kick saw sports 1-0 on 23 minutes, Merstham levelled almost straight away when Ore Bello smashed home. Soon after Kaine Kennedy made it 2-1 all be it looking offside he chipped the merstham keeper.

The 2nd half was cagey and Merstham drew level through Bryan Zepo on 72 minutes and looked in control, that was until MOM Steve Ngunga made it 3-2 sports with a wicked shot from 25 yards. Skipper Joe Morrision then confirmed the points after a goal mouth scramble saw him smash the ball home for sports 4-2 final score
